Today it is Co’s 3rd birthday, so I set myself the task of making her a delicious cake to celebrate!

This is a simple, easy to follow recipe and includes dog friendly ingredients!
The quantities I used makes 1 medium sized cake.
Ingredients needed:
- 2 cups of white self-raising flour
- 50g of diced, unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon of crushed liver treats
- 1 cup of lactose free milk
- 1/4 cup of carob chocolate treats or yoghurt drops (for decorating)
Step 1: Preheat over to 180°C/350°F.
Step 2: Rub 50g of butter and 2 cups of flour together in a bowl until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Step 3: Mix in 1 tablespoon of crushed liver treats.
Step 4: Slowly mix in 1 cup of milk.
Step 5: Once all the ingredients are incorporated together, place onto a floured surface. Knead the dough until it is smooth.
Step 6: Shape the dough into your desired shape. Then place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 7: Remove from oven and allow to cool on a cooling tray.

Decorating: Once the cake has cooled down you can decorate it. Melt carob chocolate treats or yoghurt drops in microwave, then decorate cake however you desire.
Then it was time for the birthday dog to try it!

Tip: Share some of the cake with other dog owners you know!
Wonder if my Diet Master will allow this?
